Our Story: How Lotus Care Sa Was Born

Lotus Care SA was founded with a simple but powerful belief: people with disabilities deserve support from leaders who genuinely understand their challenges, respect their autonomy, and are deeply committed to their independence and quality of life.

Our journey began not in boardrooms, but in the trenches—where our founding team worked directly as disability support workers. Through years of frontline experience, we witnessed both extraordinary transformation and heartbreaking gaps. We saw people flourishing when supported by someone who truly listened. We also saw individuals marginalized by generic, tick-box services that prioritized compliance over care.

That contrast sparked a question: What if we created a disability support provider led entirely by people who had walked in the shoes of frontline workers?
